Chanted Prayers: Offering to the Spiritual Guide (OSG)
Chanted Prayers: Offering to the Spiritual Guide (OSG)
February 10, 2025 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
This is a special Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkhapa in conjunction with Highest Yoga Tantra that is a preliminary practice for Vajrayana Mahamudra. The main practice is relying upon our Spiritual Guide as a Buddha and making praises and requests, but it also includes all the essential practices of the stages of the path and training the mind, as well as both the generation stage and completion stage of Highest Yoga Tantra. By relying upon Je Tsongkhapa our compassion, wisdom, and spiritual power naturally increase.
We engage in Offering to the Spiritual Guide prayers on the 10th and 25th of every month. Participants are welcome to bring a vegetarian food offering.

Chanted Prayers: Quick Path to Great Bliss
Chanted Prayers: Quick Path to Great Bliss
February 16, 2025 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This extensive self-generation practice of Vajrayogini is a translation of the sadhana—ritual prayers for spiritual attainments—composed by Je Phabongkhapa. By relying on this practice sincerely, with a good heart and a mind of faith, it is definitely possible to attain full enlightenment; but to accomplish such results we must practice this sadhana regularly. To practice the sadhana successfully we should first receive the empowerment of Vajrayogini (Highest Yoga Tantra), and then study authentic instructions on the practice such as those found in the commentary New Guide to Dakini Land.

Chanted Prayers for the Deceased: Powa
Chanted Prayers for the Deceased: Powa
February 16, 2025 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Powa means “transference of consciousness” and this traditional prayer ceremony is done on behalf of those who have recently died. Through doing Powa Ceremony prayers with faith, compassion and concentration we can transfer the consciousness of those who are in the death process or recently deceased to a fortunate higher rebirth or to the Pure Land of a Buddha, where they will attain permanent liberation from suffering and experience pure and everlasting happiness. To add a recently deceased loved one to the powa dedications list click here (scroll to end of the page).

Healing the World Within
Medicine Buddha Empowerment & Teachings on Self-Generation
Healing our world begins with healing our mind. There is a close connection between our mind, our body, and our experience of our world. By healing the three poisons of our attachment, anger and ignorance, we start to heal everything else around us and gain the ability to help others.
Medicine Buddha practice is a special meditation method that has been used for thousands of years. In this course we will learn how to guide ourselves in this practice, how to use it to heal our mind and body, and then how to use this to benefit others. We will look at the radical practice of Tantric self generation, where we transform our experience of our self, world, and others through imagination and wisdom. It will leave us uplifted and inspired that we can truly change for the better, and that this change will make a real difference-for ourselves, our communities, and our whole world.
The empowerment of Medicine Buddha will be granted by Kadam Morten Clausen. An empowerment is a special ritual practice where we make a connection with Medicine Buddha and receive his blessings. This profound, guided meditation practice gives us a unique connection with Medicine Buddha that will ripen our best qualities to come about and give us success in the practice. Everyone welcome!
