Transforming Adverse Conditions Into The Spiritual Path

Transforming adverse conditions into the path is vital in these degenerate times because we are constantly surrounded by difficulties, like a candle flame exposed to the wind, blown first from this direction, then from that. There is no way of avoiding difficult situations, but if we can change our attitude toward them they will no longer be problems for us. Instead of allowing adversities to make us unhappy and discouraged we can use them to enhance our experience of the stages of the spiritual path, and thereby maintain a pure and peaceful mind all the time.

This series is based on the book Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Keslang Gyatso.

Mar 31 — Becoming Truly Happy Amidst Life’s Adversity
Apr 7 — What Do I Need For My Spiritual Development?
Apr 14 — Stop The Blame Game – Owning My Karma
Apr 21 — Meditation Transforms People And Places
Apr 28 — Freedom From Expectations
May 5 — Opening Our Wisdom Eyes

How to best experience a class through Zoom

Find a quiet place where you will not be interupted, by sounds or by others. Turn off your phone. Set up a cushion on the floor or sit in chair that will allow you to sit comfortably with your back straight.

You do not need to be Buddhist to take part and benefit. Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is necessary.
