The Power of Your Support A Gift of Peace
Dear Atisha Kadampa Buddhist Center Community,
The end of the year is a time of reflection and a time to cultivate our vision for the year ahead. In a world that feels increasingly tumultuous, Atisha KBC continues on without interruption and has stayed true to its mission to provide a source of refuge, sanity and joy to RI and beyond.
For many of us, our weekly classes continue to be a reliable source of inspiration and mental peace. They keep us grounded, calm, and kinder in our hearts and in our daily life. It’s hard to imagine what our lives would be like without Dharma teachings, our local Kadampa center and the Sangha community. We hope you have been able to connect with the center’s classes, retreats, pujas, and community events.
As you may know, the center is fully self-supporting, run by volunteers and operates through funds generated by memberships, class fees, and donations. For 2025 we have a vision to be able to provide more extensive classes and programming at the center and in the region, and we foresee that we will need to absorb increasing operating costs. Beyond the everyday running of the center we continue to aspire toward a long-term goal of eventually purchasing a forever home for Atisha KBC and we hope to continue to make progress in that direction.
If you are in a position to make an end of the year donation at this time, we are seeking to raise $12,000 by year end. Any amount that you can contribute is impactful to the center. Of course, all donations are tax-deductible.
Your contribution is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Angela Stewart
