Meditations to Transform the Year

In this new year, we are planning how to be happy. Lose some weight, learn a new language or just get organized! We tend to think if we get everything aligned: the right house, the right job, the right partner, we will be truly happy. However, we all know from experience that good external conditions give us only temporary happiness and most of the time leaves us discontent or unhappy.

So, how can we really be happy? By gaining experience through meditation that happiness is a state of mind. Understanding within our own experiences that  the real source of happiness lies within the mind and not in external conditions.

In this series, explore meditations that teach us how to create positive habits of mind and develop mental tools that empower us to be constructive in every situation.

Jan 3 -  Precious Human Life
Jan 10 - What if I Were to Die Today
Jan 17 - Protection from Suffering
Jan 24 - Creating a Positive Life

Feb 7 - Balancing Our Mind & Life

Although it is beneficial to attend the entire series, you may drop in at any time. No experience necessary. Everyone welcome! We will be using the book Modern Buddhism by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for this series.
