Do we need someone to complete us? Does being on our own mean we have to be lonely? Join us for a half-day teaching on how to find confidence in the experience of being on our own and find freedom from the experience of loneliness.
We live our lives in constant interaction with others. Yet despite this we can often feel disconnected and isolated from those around us, even our closest friends and relatives. The pain of loneliness can be a heavy weight in our hearts. Through applying Buddha’s healing teachings on appreciating the interconnected reality in which live we can dissolve away loneliness and truly connect with others. This will bring energy and joy for living our lives with a clarity of purpose.
During this retreat, Gen Chokyi will explain practical yet profoundly effective ways of thinking, meditating, and contemplating for getting outside of the confines of loneliness and finding a real love and happiness within.
This mini meditation retreat is led by Gen Kelsang Chokyi, Resident Teacher at AKBC.
You do not need to be Buddhist to take part and benefit. No previous experience is necessary. Suitable for all levels of experience. Everyone is welcome.
