Taught by Kelsang Chokyi, Buddhist nun and Resident Teacher at AKBC, the Thursday night meditation class meets at Worcester, MA every two weeks. This class gives us an opportunity to go deeper into Buddhist philosophy and meditation experience. Each class includes a short discussion and two guided meditations. Everyone is welcome.

In this busy world, our experiences of happiness are fleeting and short-lived, while inner peace eludes us. How do we solve having our wishes go unfulfilled? How can we accept ourself and others not wishing it to be different? How can we be empowered by the mind of acceptance?

Join us to explore methods to identifying those states of mind that disturb us seeing how they are generated and how we can transform them and actually soothe our mind through acceptance. Drop into any class or join us for the whole series.

What to Expect at a Class

Our Thursday evening introductory meditation class begins with a guided meditation, followed by a talk on a certain topic (listed above), and ends with another guided meditation. Class is followed by refreshments and time to chat with the teacher and other students. No previous experience is necessary.
